Update – due to Ontario lockdown we are no longer planning to curl in the 2020-2021 season.
Get your curling stuff ready! We’re going back to curling January 2nd, 2021 and are planning at least a 14 week season.
All registered curlers will receive a 25% rebate as compensation for the shortened season. These refunds should be back on your credit card before the Holidays. Please be patient, it’s a manual process.
Like many other businesses, COVID-19 has done significant financial damage to our Club. If you would like to donate your rebate to the Curling Club, please let us know.
All curlers are required to sign the COVID-19 waiver and one of the participation waivers and return it to the Membership Director or bring with you on your first visit to the club.
The ice team will begin Dec 14th, booting up the plant and getting the ice pad ready. We’re hoping to have the ice in about December 23rd.
Ice will be available to members only on a first-come basis by emailing email@example.com. Ice is available on an hourly basis for up to 4 persons per sheet, during December 28-30 between 9:00am and 5:00pm only. All of the noted COVID protection protocols will apply.
Curling with COVID-19
It is up to all of us to keep each other safe.
Inside the club, masks are mandatory while moving anywhere, except while curling on the ice, or sitting at your table.
We strongly encourage all members to wear a mask on the ice. We recognize the inconvenience of this request but remember it is for our collective safety. ‘Your mask protects me, my mask protects you’.
Entering, Exiting, and Traffic Flow
Later this month there will be emails with explicit instructions how we will be moving through the club, and how COVID-19 protections will be made to work for you. The rules of curling and COVID are available.
Download the COVID Alert App
All members are strongly encouraged to download this free app to their phones. The app informs you if you have been near a person who has tested positive. If you don’t already have it, please get it now!
