Curling Season is Almost Here

We are less than a month away to the beginning of curling season. Are you ready?

Carp Fair September 22-25

A little fun is to be had before curling gets underway. The Huntley Curling Club will be hosting a BBQ throughout the Carp Fair. Please come visit! We’ll have an information booth set up to attract new curlers as well as the lounge will be open to the public.

Get those game shoes on – Practice ice Oct 8-10

Leagues start Tuesday, October 11, but if you want to warm up those curling legs, practice ice will be available the Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday through Monday, from noon to 8pm each day. Email match@huntleycurling.ca to book a timeslot, note if you need a coach and we may be able to help out.

Member Clinic – Oct 15

The club is hosting a one-day curling clinic for members who are less experienced and need to find their curling legs. This will occur on Saturday, October 15th, from noon to 6:00pm. Your hosts will be Lidia and David Cormier, perhaps the two best curlers and trainers in the club (unless the Cotten’s can claim that title). We will provide several other experienced members to assist with this clinic. Please book your involvement by emailing match@huntleycurling.ca. Even experienced curlers can benefit from this clinic, after all this time off.

Try Curling – Oct 16

The club is hosting a one-day Try Curling event, meant for the public who have not been to the club, or perhaps have not curled before. Scheduled for Sunday, October 16, from 2:00-6:00.

We will need numerous skilled volunteers to assist those members of the public who attend. Please contact Jim if you are willing to help (match@huntleycurlng.ca).

Leagues Begin – Oct 11

Watch your inbox for your league schedules and they’ll be posted to the website.
Good curling!
