Signup for one or more of the league offerings that will start in the fall. Returning members who register and pay by August 1st guarantee their returning spot in any league. Registration closes by mid-September or as leagues reach their maximum of teams/players.
Registering for Leagues – New or Returning Members
Members from the last couple of seasons already have an account on our club website which makes signing up for the new season easier. If you have already activated your account, then login and use the Registration button on the main page. If you haven’t recovered your account, either follow the instructions sent in a previous email or check out this post on how to complete the necessary steps.
New members are always welcome and should follow the instructions on our main page to start creating their account and then registering for leagues.
This is the first year we have used this registration process so if you have issues completing your registration, please send an This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a short description of your issue or query, or read this post if you are having difficulty changing or resetting your password.
Registering Multiple Family Members for HCC Leagues
New this year is a requirement that each league member must have a unique email address. A single person cannot sign up their spouse, significant other or children for leagues they may wish to participate in. Most adults and older children have access to their own email address or can create new Gmail or Yahoo email address to register.
For those registering younger children or wishing to meet the requirement without a separate email address should read this post on our site about Plus Email Addresses which we’ve helped many parents adopt for use at HCC.
Selecting Volunteering and Sparing Interests Changed
In the past, as part of registering, members would indicate which general areas of interest they wished to contribute volunteer hours towards. Also, players who wished to offer themselves as spares could indicate their availability and leagues of interest as part of registration. How volunteer and sparing interests will be managed is changing this year. Both will be managed through a member’s profile on the website after registration. More details on how both interests will work will be shared before the season begins.
The exception to the above statement is for members who wish to pay to opt-out of their volunteer hours. Payment should be included as part of your registration process – there is a selection on the same page asking about lockers and name tags.
Youth Leagues & Memberships
New or returning Youth members should follow the full registration process as outlined above. Youth members must have their own account.
Check out these details on the restructured Friday Afternoon Youth League being offered this year. In addition, we are introducing a new program for ages 6-8 years old, held every Sunday from 3:30pm – 4:00pm called Half Hack Learn to Curl.
Adult Learn to Curl Events
The club will be hosting a pair of Adult Learn to Curl 8-week courses starting in mid-October. To sign up for an LTC course, you do not follow the full registration process but instead sign up for a club event. When you sign-up you choose which session you wish to join – 4:30pm or 7pm on Sundays. Graduates of these Learn to Curl sessions will be able to sign up for league play starting in January.
Youth Learn to Curl will open registration in the fall and be run starting in January. Watch our website for more details.
In-Person Registration Help Sessions
To help both new and returning members, two in-person registration sessions will be offered within the Huntley club. Stop by and someone will be happy to help you complete your registration or answer questions about league options. The sessions are scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday June 5th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm
- Saturday June 8th from 10am to Noon
Depending upon need, we may hold more of these through the summer as required.
