Our Learn to Curl Invitational Bonspiel was held on February 1st with 16 teams participating. There was much excitement amongst the "newbie" curlers, coaches and the many spectators.
The winning team was Team Binder from the RCMP Club. It was a "Great" day for Konrad Binder...not only did he skip his team to the top of the draw...he also was lucky in winning the Ottawa Senators VIP Package...only gets better from here...his number was picked for the 50/50 draw. Konrad very generously returned his winnings to the pot to be donated to team Frlan for their upcoming trip to the U18 Canadian Championship.
Thank you to the volunteers that assisted on Saturday, Dwayne and Kevin for the wonderful ice conditions, Bartender Ryan and Whitney for the delicious meal. A special thank you to Erin Crowe of the Ottawa Senators and Jackie Waters of Burnt Rock Curling for their donations to the prize table.
