After a busy February in events across Canada and Europe, the members of Huntley’s Team Frlan (Skip Katrina Frlan, Vice Erika Wainwright, Second Samantha Wall, and Lead Lauren Norman) found a few days to rest and catch up on schoolwork before reuniting in Waterloo, ON from February 25 – March 1 to compete at the U20 Provincial Championships in Waterloo, ON. After round robin action, with five wins and two losses, the Huntley rink was set to face Team Vivier in the semifinal. It was a tight match with both teams exchanging great shots and setups but it was Team Vivier who would prevail 5–3. This great effort marks the end of a great season for Team Frlan – well done team! (And an extra congrats to Lauren Norman, who was selected by Team Wilson to join them as their Alternate when they compete at U20 Nationals in Sudbury later this month.)
