Letter from Team Do to the HCC Board of Directors, ice team, bar staff and all of its members and volunteers | May 6, 2026
We hope this letter finds you all well and enjoying the beauty of spring after a true Canadian winter!
As Team Do’s home club, we can’t thank you enough for the support that you provided our U18 Men’s Curling team this season. Your continued support of HCC’s youth athletes and programming is commendable and appreciated!
Our goals in the first season were to gather experience, develop as individuals and as a team, and build a foundation to compete and dominate over the long term. Our competitions included the Ontario Provincials and Winter Games playdowns, Royal Kingston Junior Open Cash Spiel where we finished 2nd, Huntley U18 Bonspiel where we finished 3rd, and the Belcon Men’s Open Spiel where we won the C Championship.
Other activities & achievements included regional high school championships for four of us with two of us making it to the OFSAA provincials’ quarter-finals in Thunder Bay. The entire team will attend the Amethyst Elite Training Camp in North Bay this July. And in May, we will participate as a team in the Ranney Gorge 5k Run, raising money to support equipment purchases for Campbellford Memorial Hospital.
As we eagerly anticipate our second season together, we are determined to build on our achievements and experience gained in 2025-26. Our training has already begun for next season and we are highly motivated to become one of the top U18 men’s teams in the province. We look forward to the possibility of partnering with you again next season and sharing the success and accomplishments that lie ahead.
Sincerely,
Team Do
Gage, Ayden, Nate, Eliot & Jack
