Looking for something fun and social this winter? Try curling! We'll show you how!

Learn to Curl Students Celebrate Graduation
Whether you are 18 or 80, let us introduce you to the great sport of curling. Huntley offers a learn-to-curl (LTC) program designed to lead directly into fun league play for one combined price.
Curling is even more fun when you know how to slide, sweep, and move safely on the ice. Our entire program is based on guidelines and best practices provided by the Canadian Curling Association. We will teach you the basics: sliding, delivery of the rock, stick delivery, sweeping, game etiquette and basic strategy. No equipment necessary! The Huntley Curling Club supplies all items you need; simply bring a pair of clean indoor gym shoes and wear warm clothing.
On-Ice Learning
Huntley offers a two-year learn to curl program. During the 10-week Year One program, our experienced instructors will teach you how to slide, sweep and play. You will also learn the basic strategy, rules, and game etiquette. Upon finishing the 10-week instructional program, you can apply your new curling skills by sparing in a social league (great for new curlers - our social leagues are focused on fun!).
Year One graduates then have the option of participating the following season in our 14-week Year Two program, focused on refining previously taught skills, learning more about on-ice etiquette, pace of play and strategy. This brand-new Year Two program is being offered to give LTC participants another year to focus on key concepts in the game with trained instructors on the ice. It also allows them to dive into more difficult shots and terms. Year Two participants will be able to spare throughout the season in any leagues ( just make sure to indicate you are a Year Two LTC participant).
Regardless of your progression through the curriculum, every session will teach you something new about the game. Don’t worry if you have to miss a week or two, there’s lots of time to catch up. And Huntley will always provide you with equipment: slider, gripper, stabilizer (to help you slide), and broom. By the end of Year Two, instructors will be able to help you choose between what equipment you need for the following season when you join the membership as a full-fledged member.
