This clinic will focus on the take out and the factors that need to be considered when throwing a hit. From throwing a hack weight hit on a rock that is half buried to making a run back double take out, there is a lot of variation in the weight required to make a hit. We'll cover all of that and how to make those adjustments to your throw. We'll also discuss turn and rotation and their impact on angles and rolls.

 

Clinic will be from 9 am to 10:45 am

You're down 3 points, it's the 6th end and the other team throws the first rock to the top 4 foot. If your first thought is to hit that rock, then sign up for this clinic after you lose that game and learn how to rally back from a deficit. We'll talk about a number of scenarios and how to play them. How and when to play defensive (protect) or aggressive (pursue) or play the end to feel out the ice and/or your opponents (probe). Recognize risk vs reward. Make an end plan that compliments your game plan, and know when to bail on that plan.
