Janet Mary Bell passed away peacefully at home on the morning of a bright and sunny Father’s Day, June 20th.
Janet was made an Honourary Member in 2017, along with her husband Frank, both of whom contributed generously of their time and energy towards the operation and management of the club over the many years they were members.
Janet was always ready to serve as a volunteer on whatever committee needed her skills but perhaps her greatest contribution was her work in the kitchen helping Stewart and the boys put on fabulous ‘washing machine’ dinners.
Janet worked for many years in nursing, first at the Grace and then finally at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa.
Janet and Frank enjoyed travelling, with Cape Cod and Mexico being two of their preferred destinations, until Frank’s untimely passing in 2009.
Janet had just rejoined as an active member in 2018 when the pandemic sidelined her return. Our sincere condolences to her family and to all her friends. She will be missed by all.
